We’ve made instructions tailored to your donation amount and match tier (100% vs. 10%).
Donors in the United States - 100% match
Getting donations matched at 100% will be especially challenging this year. We aim to give donors their best chance at getting matched, and we recommend most donors give it a try. But if it's not for you, consider aiming for the 10% match instead.
Donors in the United States - 10% match
We expect that the 10% match could last for an hour or more. If the challenges associated with the 100% match aren't for you, consider aiming for the 10% match instead. The 10% match may also be a good fit for some very large donors.
Donors in the United States will receive a donation receipt by e-mail sufficient for IRS tax filing purposes.
Donors in other countries - 100% match
Our 100% match recommendations for donors outside the United States may not be as reliable as our United States instructions. In addition, we recommend donors outside the United States do not attempt more than €250 EUR in donations over a 31-day period.
Donors in other countries - 10% match
We expect that the 10% match could last for an hour or more. We think most non-US donors will be limited to €250 EUR in donations, but you'll have time to try larger amounts.
Donors in most other countries who participate in the Facebook matching program will not be eligible for tax benefits for their donations.
